What is Birthfit?
An empowered, educated state of readiness – specific to childbirth – that is achieved through an evolved practice in fitness, nutrition, mindset & connection (the four pillars).

Birthfit is a movement. It’s about expecting and postpartum mums taking charge of their bodies and their decisions, and supporting one another’s journeys.
Birthfit is an approach to birth. We challenge the status quo and ask the questions no one else asks. We read, research, experiment and consolidate all the common sense, time honoured wisdom, and recent studies we can find and present that information to you. We unconditionally support you, the birth mum & partner, to make the best decision for you and baby.
Birthfit is a state of readiness. Childbirth is perhaps the most physical, mental & spiritual experience of a women’s life. We want you to be ready in body, mind & spirit for the experience of birth and the lifelong journey that follows.

Exercise options

Each new member who is either pregnant or post partum will be provided a one on one consultation with a Birthfit Coach. This will ensure you have all the information necessary to train effectively in the gym. Here we will also introduce our foundations for training during pregnancy, which are finding intra abdominal pressure (used to support you through all forms of movement) and functional progressions. These foundations are used to strengthen and support your core and pelvic floor during pregnancy & reduce common (not normal) symptoms post partum, such as urinary incontinence, organ prolapse and pelvic pain and dysfunction. It also helps to support the healing of Diastasis Rectus Abdominis (DRA), which all women will have by the end of pregnancy.

45min| 1 hour PT sessions | seven days per week 
Exercise programs designed specifically for women moving into motherhood. We focus on functional movements that support the goal of birth to prepare for the unknown and unknowable. This includes pelvic floor strengthening and activation, breath & flow, posterior activation and strength and conditioning using a variety of exercises and equipment.

We also offer programs that focus on returning to exercise in the postpartum. We treat this period as active recovery and work to strengthen and support your body as it transitions back into group fitness.

Group Crossfit classes | seven days per week
Regularly programmed Crossfit classes with daily adapted programming for your stage of pregnancy. This is a great option for those that feel more comfortable in group training and want to train effectively for birth but don’t necessarily want to join a ‘pregnancy’ class.
